Isaac Asimov on The Bible

And you know what I HATE most? The fact that, when THIS argument is used to debate with Christians...they say that we are only skimming the Surface of the Bible, when it is WE are the ones who actually go deep into it. We are not blinded by the faith that they cling to like a security blanket. We are not afraid to judge their God for the monster that he is.

It's so sad that when I debated the book of Job to one guy, he defended it at every point...When I said that Job proved that God did not value human life on an individual scale, he defended that, "God gave Lot's Wife and Children life, so he demanded it back." That is like saying that a Mother and Father who gave life to their son or daughter has the right to "Take that Life Back."
I'm sorry but; why is it that Humans are not allowed to get away with this stuff, but God is?
